Monday Must Haves #11

With my birthday just around the corner, I find myself seeking out things that I want to do over the course of the next year, before I turn 24.  I know, I'm not even 23 yet but I like to plan ahead!

I've felt so inspired this year, with all the exciting creative possibilities that lay ahead of me and the ventures I've already started.  This week's Monday Must Haves are all things that I want to do in the future (^_^)

♥ I know I already crochet and work with yarn, but I really want to crochet something *big*.  Like, a throw for my bed.  Or a dress.  Or something.  Just something big, something that's going to take time and effort and perseverance to complete.  A real crocheting challenge!  Plus, wouldn't it be fabulous to work with yarn in such gorgeous colours?

Speaking of making something big, I would *love* to create a quilt!  I've watched in awe as other bloggers have pulled their fabric together, painstakingly cutting and sewing to create the most beautiful keepsakes.  I love the patterns on this fabric jelly roll and super love that someone has done half the work already!

♥ Not only is this handwritten poem gorgeous to look at, it's just adorably sweet too!  Calligraphy has always appealed to me because it's such intricate and delicate work.  I'd love to be able to practice it; I'd use it for addresses on envelopes, gift tags, personalising cards and notes...The list is endless!

♥ It was the colours that initially caught my eye but look at how simple yet detailed that patten is!  Lino printing is *such* an interesting and unique craft; I remember making a lino print in school and really enjoying the process of making something I could keep and use more than once - I think I still have it somewhere!  I'd love to see if some of my designs would work as prints, so it's something I really want to experiment with.

♥ This one isn't so much what I'd like to do, but what I'd like to have!  I've always wanted a 'cupcake cake', if that makes sense!  And boy would I love to have it in rainbow colours!  And glittery!  And gorgeous!  I'm seriously swooning over these cupcakes.  S, promise me one day we'll have a cupcake cake?

I hope you're all having a brilliant Monday and have got lots of awesome things planned for the rest of this week!  I've got an interesting project coming up; I've been asked to make a doll for S's sister (she's going to a cosplay event and needs a prop!) I've never made a doll before so I know it's going to be a challenge but I'm already looking forward to it!

  1. I made a quilt when I was in middle school. Still have it, wish I had time to make another one. It was really fun.
